BODY PRAXIS INTERACTIVE STRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND WELLNESS WORKSHOP Overview: This seminar will address the serious musculoskeletal disorders that afflict dentists, hygienists, and other team members. We will review clinical observations, muscle and spine anatomy, and introduce a unique training regimen using small apparatus. The sessions will include individual assessments of participants and will teach the importance of balanced muscle recruitment, spine segmental mobility, and breathing techniques to restore function and alleviate pain. The participants will be given a comprehensive home program with all the necessary equipment, including a Body Praxis Home Workout Kit. Utilizing advanced techniques and Pilates principles, we will explore self postural assessment, positioning, stabilization, and realignment to ensure correct biomechanical alignment when sitting, standing, and reaching. We will explore a training regimen designed to address specific back, neck, shoulder, hip and arm pain, as well as other injuries common to the dental profession caused by repetitive workplace positions and movements.
